Bob O'Neill

Bob is a graduate of Marquette Senior High School, and served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1973. He went to Northern Michigan University, enrolling in the Home Construction and Maintenance program. In 1976 he joined the Carpenters Union Local 958 apprenticeship program. He has been a treasurer for Local 958 and served the Northern District Council as warden and, later, vice president. Local 958 became Local 1510, and Bob served as vice president, and now as financial secretary. He has been a delegate to the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, and now serves on the executive board as a trustee. Bob also is a trustee for the fringe funds, health care, pension, apprenticeship funds and serves as a chairman on the Upper Peninsula Junior Apprenticeship Training Committee.

In addition to the UPCC, Bob is a board member for the Upper Peninsula Labor-Management Council, the Upper Peninsula Customer Advisory Council, and a delegate to the U.P. Building Trades. More recently, Bob was appointed to the Marquette City Planning Commission. He has been married to his wife Barb for thirty-three years. They have three daughters, Denise, Stacey, and Kimberly.
