LEEDING THE WAY
LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, indicates a property's overall sustainability by awarding points for sustainable features, LEED certification is compromised of specific programs tailored for new buildings, existing buildings and tenant build-outs, and awards different tiers of certification such as Silver, Gold, Platinum, the highest.
UPCC members work closely with engineers, architects and building owners to construct buildings that utilize the latest in sustainable best practices. From rainwater collection and reuse systems, to energy-efficient lighting and low-flow plumbing fixtures, UPCC members are experiences in using the latest environmentally responsible construction methods available.
